I have been hiding over the past few days, working very hard on a new Fennel & Fern project which I will unveil in the next week. It is very exciting, and I can’t wait to share it with you. So please be patient with the sparse posts for a little while, and you will be richly rewarded.
But in the meantime, this is a quick post to give thanks for those men and women who have died fighting for our country. I can’t imagine what my grandparents’ generation went through, but I know we must never forget the sacrifice they made. So thank you.

I think it’s also very important that we remember what people went through in the wars… However I do feel it’s already being lost, which is a great shame. I have to confess to knowing very little about the wars, I was never even taught anything about WWI at school! It’s only in recent months that I’ve been reading a number of books based around the wars that you get a true feeling for what it really must’ve been like!

Liz I couldn’t agree more, and I wish I’d asked my grandfathers more about it when they were alive. One of them was taken prisoner when he was serving in the Navy, and they thought he was dead. I can’t imagine what that must feel like - really dwarfs everything we worry about, doesn’t it?

Thanks for the post. Always good to remember…
Good luck on your project and I can’t wait to see it.
